Site Description:
Shepherds Flat North is a wind energy facility located within a site boundary of approximately 9,264 acres (14.5 square miles). The facility consists of 106 turbines with a peak generating capacity of 265 megawatts and a maximum blade tip height of 492 feet.
Status:

Operating. The facility commenced commercial operation in September 2012.​

​​​​​​​​On September 11, 2009, the Energy Facility Siting Council approved a Final Order dividing the Shepherds Flat Wind Farm into three original site certificates for Shepherds Flat Central, Shepherds Flat North and Shepherds Fla​t South.
