The Lone Pine to Whetstone 230 kV Transmission Line is a 230 kilovolt (kV) transmission line, with two proposed routes, ranging between 10 and 12.1 miles long between the existing Lone Pine and Whetstone substations. The proposed route options would be located with Jackson County and City of Medford.

Proposed/Under Review. The Department received a Notice of Intent (NOI) to apply for a Site Certificate on April 27, 2023. A Public Notice on the NOI was issued on May 17, 2023.

A public informational meeting was held both in person in Medford, and virtually on June 7, 2023. Meeting information can be found here:

On September 14, 2023, the Department issued a Project Order establishing the statutes, administrative rules, council standards, local ordinances, and other requirements for the site certificate application. The applicant has indicated it may no longer be seeking EFSC review due to changes in project design/description..
