The Archway Solar Energy Facility is a proposed solar photovoltaic energy generation facility with a generating capacity of approximately 400 megawatts. The facility would be located on approximately 3,650 acres in north Lake County. Other proposed components include an electrical collection system, a generator step-up transformer and substation, operations and maintenance building, gen-tie transmission line, a control house, point of interconnection, and a battery energy storage system.

Proposed/Review on Hold. The Department received the preliminary Application for Site Certificate (pASC) on June 23, 2022. The Department reviewed the pASC in coordination with reviewing agencies and issued requests for additional information (RAI’s) on August 22, 2022 and March 3, 2023. Responses to RAIs are pending the applicant’s review of its final facility design and permitting pathways. Department review of the pASC and agency coordination is temporarily suspended pending action from applicant.
