The Oregon Department of Energy supports the Oregon Climate Action Commission
The
Oregon Climate Action Commission (formerly the Oregon Global Warming Commission) is charged with tracking trends in
greenhouse gas emissions and recommending ways to coordinate state and local efforts to reduce emissions in Oregon.
ODOE staff provides analysis for all Commission reports and projects, reviews draft reports and presentations, and provides technical assistance to Commissioners. Our work ensures that the Commission receives sound technical advice and support.
The agency is responsible for ensuring the administrative and statutory requirements of the Commission are met, and publishes a biennial
Report to the Legislature . ODOE also produced the Commission's
Roadmap to 2030 , a report outlining recommendations for how Oregon can meet its 2020 greenhouse gas reduction goal of 10 percent below 1990 levels.
