The purpose of Title I, Part A is to provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education and help ensure that all children meet challenging academic standards. As outlined in the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Title I-A funded schools may implement one of two approaches: 1) a School-wide Program or 2) a Targeted Assistance Program.

Family Engagement
ESEA requires that districts and schools that receive Title I-A funds communicate, collaborate and work as partners with families, with the goal of improving student achievement and promoting academic success.
Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)
Schools that adopt CEP are reimbursed using a formula based on the percentage of students who are normally certified for free school meals without an application, such as students who participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Foster, Migrant Education, or McKinney-Vento eligible students.
