Transitioning into Kindergarten

Working together, families and educators play a critical role in making the transition into kindergarten as smooth as possible for children. Positive early childhood transitions set the stage for children and families for the rest of their school experiences. Research shows that building and implementing a seamless transition into kindergarten makes a significant difference for a child’s on-going success in school. In addition, children in an inclusive early learning setting are more likely to transition into inclusive elementary settings.
