Dropout Prevention is first and foremost about keeping students engaged in school, but it goes beyond that. When we talk about dropout prevention, we are talking about ensuring that young people not only have a plan for their future, but they know the steps they need to take in order to be ready for their future. The challenge here is to take a close look at the students, and possibly the student groups, for whom the current system has not worked. What can we, and what will we do to ensure that students are prepared for the future before them?
