If the purpose of the IEP meeting is the consideration of transition services for a student, the school district must invite a representative of any other agency likely to be responsible for providing or paying for transition services. If the agency representative did not attend, the IEP team should document their input. If a participating agency fails to provide agreed-upon transition services contained in the IEP, the LEA responsible for the student's education shall, as soon as possible, initiate a meeting for the purpose of identifying alternative strategies to meet the transition objectives. Agencies include, but are not limited to vocational rehabilitation, mental health, and community college. A statement of interagency responsibilities and linkages is included in the IEP, if appropriate.
