McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act

National School Lunch Program

Students placed in foster care by state child welfare agency or court are categorically eligible for Free Benefits. The rest of the household must be determined separately and are not automatically eligible for Free Benefits.

Individuals with Disabilities Education Act

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a law ensuring services to children with disabilities throughout the nation. IDEA governs how states and public agencies provide early intervention, special education and related services to eligible infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities.
