The following resources have been created as a toolkit for districts to reference when navigating instructional materials adoptions. Updated resources will be added to this page periodically. If you have questions related to instructional materials, please email ODE’s Instructional Materials Coordinator at ODE.InstructionalMaterials@ode.oregon.gov.

Request for Postponement 

Request for Postponement: Postponement is good for up to two years starting with the publisher contract year of the latest adoption.

EdReports publishes free reviews of K–12 instructional materials, using an educator led approach that measures standards alignment, usability, and other quality criteria.

State Instructional Materials Review Association (SIMRA) Resources
SIMRA is dedicated to the process of thorough and ongoing review of instructional materials that assures alignment of content to state standards, accessibility for use by all students, and quality pedagogy as determined by established criteria. SIMRA has compiled useful information and templates for instructional materials evaluation.
