Reporting Student Assessment Results to Parents
Secure Assessment Reports
OAR 581-022-2270 Individual Student Assessment, Recordkeeping, and Reporting requires school districts to report student scores on all state and local assessments at least annually to parents or guardians for all students. Individual Student Reports (ISR), Combined ISRs, Class Rosters, Class Summary reports, and Growth ISRs are available in the Secure Assessment Reports 2.0 application on the
secure district website. ODE currently provides all ISRs in English and Spanish. For families that require interpretation or provision of ISRs in a language other than English or Spanish, parents or guardians must request this support from their school or district.
Accessing and Reviewing Assessment Records
Assessment Record Updating Application (ARUA)
The Assessment Record Updating Application (ARUA) allows a user in a district who has been granted access to view, edit, fix errors, download errors, and upload fixes to student test records that have been received by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE). The application is continuously accessible, and the test records are editable during a validation window that closes in mid-August.
Accountability Warehouse Extract
The ARUA is limited to district-editable fields, while the entire test record including the scoring and accountability fields can be retrieved from the Accountability Warehouse Extract application. There is a one-day lag for changes to test records in the ARUA to be available in the Accountability Warehouse Extract application which extracts records from the Student Centered Operational Data Store (ODS). Access to these applications is controlled by a
District Security Administrator (DSA) in each school district. Those needing access to these applications should contact their DSA.
File Layouts
The Assessment Transactional file layout (for downloading/uploading records in the ARUA) is available online in Excel format and can be downloaded from the
File Formats page. This file should be used as a reference for definitions of the editable fields on the test records. The Assessment Reporting file layout (for downloading read-only records in the Accountability Warehouse Extract) is available on the same page:
File Formats.
There are two methods for modifying student records in the ARUA on ODE's district Web site, either by using the Edit Posted Records link or by using the Production Download/File Upload options in the Record Management section. Techniques for making these adjustments are described in the ARUA User Guide available for download from a link by that name on the
Assessment Transactional System page.

Assessment Accessibility Supports
In Oregon, the statewide assessment accessibility supports (formerly the Accommodations Tables) are available to all students, although the decision to apply them must be based on an evaluation of individual student need. The accessibility supports tables explain and regulate the allowable supports for all students during the administration of assessments.
