Current Legislative and Budget Development Resources

During each legislative session, the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC) presents to legislative committees and advises the Oregon Legislature and the Governor on topics of critical concern to Oregon postsecondary education and training. On this page you can find recent HECC presentations, testimony, and documents designed to inform decisions on legislative and budgetary decisions.

During each legislative session and continually, we work closely with many of our partners on the budget and legislative process. The Higher Education Coordinating Commission discusses legislative policy and funding proposals, receives legislative updates, and makes decisions on the agency budget recommendation at public meetings. Public testimony is welcomed at all public meetings of the Commission.
