Underground Storage Tanks in Your DEQ Online

Getting started 

As of January 2025, Underground Storage Tanks permit holders, supervisors, service providers and licensed operators must establish or update their Responsible Official account in Your DEQ Online, a one-stop place for paying invoices and other services. 

Take the first step by establishing or updating your Responsible Official Your DEQ Online user account.

To connect your account to the DEQ Underground Storage Tanks Program, select the “Underground Storage Tank" submittal group and then search for and select your facility. Always click the save symbol when adding information or making changes. ​

Once your account is established or updated to link to Underground Storage Tanks, you may begin to pay invoices, submit applications and renewals, and track activity. See the following User Guides for step-by-step instructions:

Your DEQ Online is a new, streamlined tool as of January 2025 for working with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality.  

  • Paper invoices will be mailed in January 2025 with some changes, such as expanded payment method options and a new mailing address for payments by check. 
  • Any applications postmarked up to Dec. 31, 2024 will be accepted and processed by DEQ. Any applications postmarked after Dec. 31, 2024 will not be accepted and will be returned.  
  • Responsible officials (permittees, licensees) and consultants will use Your DEQ Online for applications, reporting, invoicing and payments starting January 2025. 

 

With Your DEQ Online, you will be able to: 

  • Submit applications for new UST certificates and licenses online.  
  • Submit required notifications of work, tank decommissions and product changes, and other actions. 
  • Batch transactions to allow responsible officials with multiple gas stations to submit financial responsibility for all sites in one transaction. 
  • Expand payment options for annual fees, permit action fees, notices of construction, enforcement penalties, and more. Your DEQ Online accepts credit cards and electronic fund transfer payments from your bank account. 
  • Manage and track certificates and licenses to allow responsible officials to check status, view files and connect with staff at DEQ. 
  • Access public records including permit documents, correspondence, past invoices and payment records with the click of a button. ​
