Underground Storage Tanks moving to Your DEQ Online this winter
A new, streamlined tool for working with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality is coming to the Underground Storage Tanks program in January 2025. That's the date to begin using Your DEQ Online as a one-stop place for paying invoices and other services.
Your DEQ Online is a new, streamlined tool for working with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality. You will be able to:
- Submit applications for new UST certificates and licenses online.
- Submit required notifications of work, tank decommissions and product changes, and other actions.
- Batch transactions to allow responsible officials with multiple gas stations to submit financial responsibility for all sites in one transaction.
- Expand payment options for annual fees, permit action fees, notices of construction, enforcement penalties, and more. Your DEQ Online accepts credit cards and electronic fund transfer payments from your bank account.
- Manage and track certificates and licenses to allow responsible officials to check status, view files and connect with staff at DEQ.
- Access public records including permit documents, correspondence, past invoices and payment records with the click of a button.
We will be moving information from old systems to the new Your DEQ Online platform. The launch period may impact processing times. Expect to experience delays as we prepare.
December 2024
- DEQ will send emails and postcards to permittees and licensees with updates on the transition.
- While the transition is underway, processing times may be delayed.
- Any applications postmarked up to Dec. 31, 2024 will be processed by DEQ. After that, they will be returned.
January 2025 and beyond
- DEQ will post online user guides that offer step by step instruction on using Your DEQ Online.
- Responsible officials (permittees, licensees) and consultants will use Your DEQ Online for applications, reporting, invoicing and payments.
Paper invoices will be mailed in January with some changes, such as expanded payment method options and a new mailing address if paying by check.
