State Budget and Legislative Outcomes
Every two years, Oregon sets the budgets for state agencies. The HECC’s authorities include the development of biennial budget recommendations for public postsecondary education and workforce training in Oregon.
At the end of a budgetary legislative session, the HECC provides a summary of the budget and legislative decisions that impact higher education and workforce training. The HECC Legislative Summary is located on the page linked to below. This document also includes summaries of the budget and of key legislation that was approved.

The HECC Office of Postsecondary Finance and Capital (PFC) publishes a State Funding and Formula Summary after the conclusion of each budget-setting legislative session. This report is a reference document and includes both institutional support for the public institutions and capital funding. It also provides detailed information on how the community college and public university funding distribution formulas work. View the most recent summary below.
