Universal Provider Portal Timeline

Upcoming activities and events

The Universal Provider Portal project is currently in the planning phase. The timeline will become more certain after the system vendor joins. The project will then move to the implementation phase. Here are events that may occur. Check back often for updates.


Initiation started in May 2022 and system implementation starts October 2024 

Detailed timeline

 

A vendor has been selected and is developing a detailed launch schedule. The schedule and implementation plan will be shared with individuals, families, CMEs and state staff. ​

As it is implemented, we'll work with these groups through activities such as:​

  • Showcases of the system with leaders and affected user groups
  • Community listening sessions and town halls
  • ​Regular project updates via newsletters and the Change Champion network​​

We'll​ present the new system in stages as it is set up, tested and users are trained. Each phase will prioritize groups based on live system functions and impact on users.

Phasing the system launch means that different groups will start using it at select times. This approach aims to boost system adoption. This allows more support for users and lessens impact to services.

During each phase, we will work with affected user groups in the following ways:

  • Test the system (user acceptance testing)
  • Hold ​training sessions
  • Provide training materials
  • Host drop-in help sessions with the project team
  • Get feedback to help with system testing and training
  • Find ways to​ improve​ future phases​
