Board Members

Board Member Information

The Oregon Board of Pharmacy consists of nine board members, five members are licensed Pharmacists, two are licensed Pharmacy Technicians and two are representatives of the public. The Governor appoints each member of the Board for a term of four years, subject to approval by the State Senate and they may be reappointed.

Bio

​Kat was appointed to the Oregon Board of Pharmacy as a public board member by Governor Kate Brown in November 2021. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner with the PeaceHealth Senior Health and Wellness Center in Eugene. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Lane Community College in Eugene, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master’s degrees from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. Kat has over 20 years of nursing experience and resides in Eugene. She recently completed 6 years as a member of the Oregon Board of Nursing and 4 years as a committee member on this board’s Public Health and Pharmacy Formulary Advisory Committee.​

Bio

​Richard graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts. He served in the Army as a front line medic for 11 years and served a tour in Iraq in 2009-2010. With his military experience behind him, he fully resumed his job as pharmacy technician, specializing in medication history for patients to be admitted to an inpatient bed. He has worked as a pharmacy technician since 1996 and is currently a Med History Tech (MHT) Lead at Providence St. Vincent’s Hospital and resides in Portland.

​Shannon is a 2008 Pharm D. Graduate of Oregon State University School of Pharmacy. She currently works as a Consultant Pharmacist for Specialty Pharmacy. Shannon's work experience has primarily been in the community-based retail setting that includes a few years in a compounding pharmacy. She resides in Sherwood.

Bio

Jennifer is currently a Clinical Pharmacist at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, Randall Children’s Hospital and Unity Center for Behavioral Health in Portland.  She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Pacific University School of Pharmacy in 2009 and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. She resides in Portland. ​

​Dr. Rosemarie Hemmings was appointed to the Oregon Board of Pharmacy as a public board member by Governor Kate Brown in June 2022. She has a Masters in Social Work and a Ph.D. in Public Health. With over 30 years of experience as a social worker, Dr. Hemmings has been in private practice as a psychotherapist for over 20 years and currently has a group practice in Beaverton where she focuses on the mental health of Black, Indigenous, Latina/x/o and other people of color communities.

Bio

​Amy has over 25 years of experience practicing pharmacy in Oregon. She spent the first years of her career in community practice, specializing in immunizations and appointment-based patient care services before transitioning to an ambulatory care practice setting. She currently works as a Manager in Clinical Pharmacy Services for Kaiser Permanente Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest where she oversees a multidisciplinary anticoagulation clinic. 

She is a Past President of OSPA and served for 4 years as a Pharmacist appointee and chair of the Oregon Board of Pharmacy Public Health and Pharmacy Formulary Advisory Committee. She continues to represent pharmacists on the Immunization Policy Advisory Team for Oregon Health Authority. She teaches Pharmacy-Based Immunization for OSU College of Pharmacy and serves on the Preceptor Advisory Board for Pacific University School of Pharmacy. She has previously served in national roles for Phi Delta Chi Pharmacy Fraternity and on the Pharmacy Education and Leadership Institute Board of Directors. She was awarded the Bowl of Hygeia in 2021 and resides in Tigard.

​Victoria earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2008. She is currently a licensed pharmacist in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Oregon. As a Walgreens team member for 19 years, she's worked in the capacity of a technician, intern, pharmacist, pharmacy manager, store manager, and healthcare supervisor and is currently a member of the pharmacy practice team, supporting pharmacy affairs. She currently resides in West Linn. ​

Priyal earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Idaho State University in 2015 and Bachelor of Pharmacy from India. She is an accomplished clinical pharmacist, board certified in Geriatrics with expertise in chronic disease state management and 340B pharmacy. She was a PIC at a high volume retail chain pharmacy as well as a site pharmacy manager for the largest provider of behavior health, served as a member of the Opioid Task Force for Clackamas County Health Centers, provided pharmacy services for Lifework clinics, provided clinical pharmacist services at a rural critical acess hospital in southern Oregon. She currently is employed as an ambulatory care clinical pharmacist for North Bend Medical Center and co-owner of Broadway Pharmacy in North Bend.

During her 18+ years of Retail Pharmacy experience, Ana worked for one of the top 10 chain pharmacies in the nation. She spent 5 years as a Lead Technician, 2 years as a Traveling Technician and now serves in a hospital outpatient pharmacy setting. She has been a DHS resource parent for 6 years and has a passion for patient care and community involvement. She has served on a Hispanic Advisory Board and Head Start Board. Ana resides in rural Klamath Falls Oregon.
