Interim Stipulated Order
This Order is an agreement between the licensee and the Board while an investigation is in progress. It imposes conditions on a licensee's practice, or the licensee withdraws from practice, until a final action is taken and the case is closed. This Order is reportable to the National Practitioner Data Banks.
Order of Emergency Suspension
This Order is issued when the licensee poses an immediate threat to the safety and welfare of his or her patients. It immediately suspends the license pending the completion of the investigation. The Board imposes this Order on a licensee and can be contested through a hearing. This Order is reportable to the National Practitioner Data Banks.
Stipulated Order
This Order is agreed upon by the licensee and the Board at the completion of an investigation. The licensee agrees to specific terms or sanctions by signing the Order. This Order is reportable to the National Practitioner Data Banks.
Corrective Action Agreement
This Agreement is remedial and non-disciplinary. It is designed to modify or monitor an identified issue. Identified problems can be addressed through remediation. The licensee agrees to the conditions by signing the Agreement. This Agreement is only reportable to the National Practitioner Data Banks if it includes adverse findings or is connected to the delivery of health care services.
Voluntary Limitation
This Limitation is agreed upon towards the end, or at the completion of, an investigation and usually not a disciplinary action. The licensee signs an agreement that restrict a specific practice area. This Limitation is reportable to the National Practitioner Data Banks.
Final Order
This Order is issued after the completion of a Contested Case Hearing. This Order follows a Proposed Final Order, which allows the licensee to submit written exceptions, if he or she disagrees with the findings. This Order is reportable to the National Practitioner Data Banks.
