About Immunization Information Systems (IIS)

Immunization information systems (IIS) help providers, families, and public health officials by consolidating immunization information into one reliable source. The information can then be used to guide patient care, improve vaccination rates, and ultimately reduce vaccine-preventable diseases.

About ALERT IIS

The ALERT Immunization Information System (IIS) at www.alertiis.org, is Oregon's statewide immunization registry. ALERT began in 1996 as a childhood immunization information system, but in 2008, it grew to include all ages. In 2010, ALERT became ALERT IIS, an even stronger web-based system with many new features.

By law, only authorized users are allowed to access immunization information in ALERT IIS. Authorized users include health care providers, local health departments, health plans, schools, and children's facilities.
