Rules Advisory Committee (RAC) Membership Information
The Healthy Homes Grant Program sought to include individuals in the Rules Advisory Committee (RAC) who brought knowledge and skills related to housing and health. The program aimed to include RAC members representing the following in a personal or professional capacity:
- Local housing authority, nonprofit serving low-income individuals, Community Action Agency (CAA), and health and human services field
- Renters, low-income households; those with low level of educational attainment, high unemployment, linguistic isolation, low levels of home ownership or high rent burden
- Expertise and experience in performing home improvement work including radon abatement, lead abatement, mold and mildew abatement, smoke filtration, removal of asthma/allergen triggers, fire resistance, safety improvements including seismic retrofits
- Rural and urban populations, tribal communities, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), seniors and people with disabilities
