Ombuds Program Reports

Informing and Improving the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) Member Experience

The Ombuds Program submits quarterly reports to:

  • The Governor,
  • The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Director, and
  • The Oregon Health Policy Board.

This page lists the Ombuds Program’s reports and OHA’s responses to report findings. You can view individual reports and responses below or read OHA’s progress report. It highlights key successes, progress forward and gaps in resolving each finding identified in Ombuds Program reports.

The Ombuds Program Charter:

  • Is an agreement between OHA, the Ombuds Program and the Medicaid Advisory Committee.
  • Codifies the intent of the Ombuds program and the Ombuds program authority.

Reports

For all quarters, the program reports the number and types of concerns received. Six-month and year-end reports also share:

  • Common OHP member concerns.
  • Emerging or ongoing trends and concerns.
  • Recommendations to improve quality of care and access to care for OHP members.



Responses

OHA's Medicaid Program formally responds to the six-month and year-end reports by:

  • Writing a formal response to the report.
  • Making an action plan to address findings.
  • Providing updates to the action plan and progress with addressing the findings.
