Oregon Early Learning Emergency Preparation And Response Plan

Oregon Early Learning Emergency Preparation and Response Plan was created to formalize the Department of Early Learning and Care's response to address the needs of children before, during and after a state of emergency declared by the Governor. This document provides relevant guidance and information on the division’s coordination with other state agencies and systems.

Resources For Families & Child Care Professionals

Child care providers and programs are required to to have an emergency plan.  Evacuation drills must be practiced at least once a month. In addition, another aspect of the emergency plan must also be practiced every two months, such as lock down practice, staff injury, earthquake, etc.  Practice drills must be documented.  The resources below are available to help child care providers and programs meet these requirements.
