Child Care Infrastructure Fund

The Department of Early Learning and Care is working with Business Oregon to provide technical assistance for the Child Care Infrastructure Fund, a grant program to provide financial assistance for child care infrastructure activities.

What is the Child Care Infrastructure Fund?

The Child Care Infrastructure Fund (CCIF) was created by House Bill 3005 during the 2023 Legislative Session to build out child care infrastructure statewide. DELC will provide statewide Business Technical Assistance for CCIF through technical assistance providers Northwest Native Chamber and First Children's Finance (for contact information, see below).

How does CCIF support child care providers and programs?

The Child Care Infrastructure Program is a competitive statewide grant focused on providing funds for the establishment, expansion, and improvements of child care facilities across the state. Applicants who operate culturally specific early learning programs will be prioritized for these funds.

Thank you for your interest in the first round of funding for the Child Care Infrastructure Fund Program which will award a total of $10 million in grants to selected applicants. The application for the first round of funding is now closed. Award decisions will be announced in November of 2024. There will be a second opportunity to apply for funding in early 2025 and will award an additional $15 million to those selected applicants in the second round.

DELC has contracted with Northwest Native Chamber and First Children’s Finance to assist with ongoing technical assistance for those selected to receive CCIF grants in the first round as well as applicants that are not selected to prepare for the second application round.
