Oregon Psilocybin Services - Student Information

Individuals who want to apply for a facilitator license in Oregon are required to first complete core training, practicum, and pass a comprehensive exam administered by an approved psilocybin training program. Training programs vary and prospective students should contact training programs directly to understand a particular program's schedule, application process, and tuition costs. OPS does not have the authority to control the costs of training programs.

Approved Psilocybin Training Programs

Psilocybin training programs must have their curriculum approved by Oregon Psilocybin Services (OPS) and they must be licensed by the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC) or receive a determination from HECC that a license is not required. If you plan to apply for a facilitator license, it is important to confirm that your training program meets both of these requirements.

OPS administrative rules clarify these requirements and mandate that psilocybin training programs with approved curriculum seek a license or exemption from HECC to maintain OPS curriculum approval. If a psilocybin training program loses curriculum approval as a result of failing to apply for a HECC license or exemption, students of that program may not be qualified to receive a facilitator license. You can learn more about the timelines for training programs to meet these requirements by visiting the Psilocybin Training Program Information page.

Below, you can access a list of training programs with curriculums that have been approved by Oregon Psilocybin Services. In the near future, OPS will update this list to include each program's HECC application status.

List of Training Programs with Approved Curriculum

Until the list of training programs above is updated with HECC application status, students can reference the HECC document below. However, please take note of when the document was last updated – it is not automatically updated and could therefore not include training programs that have recently attained licensure. For the most up-to-date HECC application status information, you can contact HECC at: INFO.PPS@hecc.oregon.gov.
