HSPay and Online Payment Info (for online license renewal payments)
Watch a detailed discussion of HSPay to get an overview of how it works in the CloudSuite system. This a general overview for HealthSpace staff and is not specific to Oregon (the Jackson County referred in the video is not in Oregon). We also have an Oregon-specific HSPay demo and documentation.
Commonly asked questions about online renewal payments:
- Counties choosing to use Heartland will be given preference since they will be much quicker to set up (plug and play)
- Counties using other vendors will take longer to come online since the API (Application Programming Interface) will need to be set up for each LPHA and will depend on the responsiveness of the third party merchant (Elavon, Point & Pay, etc) to sign off on the security of the API with HealthSpace
- Accepting online payments is not required and your county could come online at any time in the future
Expectations if you are using Heartland:
- Heartland is a Level 1 PCI-compliant merchant. HealthSpace has the obligation to maintain this and it is evaluated under the OHA contract.
- It is insured for $5 million per incident
- You will have an HS Pay center added to your Accounting Tools menu to manage all online payments
Expectations if you are using your own vendor:
- LPHAs will need to provide an introduction to HealthSpace and their vendor account manager to start integration
- Counties do not need to set up new Merchant ID Numbers (MIDs) – existing ones can be used for this process
- PCI compliance will be the responsibility of the LPHA
- You will not have an HS Pay center (streamlined interface) added to your main view, but you will still be able to see when operators pay online
