Oregon's Climate and Health Program is working with partners to study, prevent and plan for the health effects of climate change.
In March 2020, then Governor- Kate Brown issued Executive Order (EO) 20-04 directing State Agencies to take action on climate change. The EO includes a number of general directives to state agencies, as well as three directives specific to the Oregon Health Authority (OHA). The Climate and Health in Oregon 2020 report was our first deliverable.
OHA submitted a letter to the Governor’s Office in response to the executive order that provides background on our climate and health program and how OHA plans to respond to the EO’s directives to our agency.
This series of short videos was developed during a three-day digital storytelling workshop with members of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs in 2017. The pilot project explored digital storytelling as a method for building partnerships, understanding local climate impacts and raising awareness about community concerns.
