Resources for Treatment Providers

Overview

OHA provides the following documents and resources to help local treatment programs meet contractual obligations as well as deliver, report and bill for treatment services.

The Oregon Problem Gambling Services Procedure Codes and Rates documents list the codes providers may use to bill for treatment services during their contract period, as well as:
  • ​Documentation requirements
  • Coverage criteria and limitation​​​s

OHA PGS provides samples of various screening tools that have been researched in the field and can be used by your organization.  

Screening is essential to support the assessment process and determine if a client needs gambling addition services. Refer to these links:

​Service Elements

Problem Gambling Treatment falls under four Service Elements:

​One requirement under Service Elements are Technical Assistance/ Program Development Reviews, which are to occur at least once in a three-year period. These visits:

  • Are a collaborative process for all participants, and 
  • Provide guidance and assistance to help your organization implement problem gambling prevention strategies within the communities your program serves.​
