Data-informed performance management
The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) uses a data-informed management system to track our progress toward meeting our
mission and goals. Agency leadership meets quarterly to discuss the measures and identify improvements on behalf of the people we serve.
Our management system:
- Gives us a framework to align our priorities and set our direction and expectations
- Clarifies our shared understanding of our core work - what we do, how we do it and how we know we're doing it well
- Provides a routine and consistent way to assess our performance and opportunities for improvement
- Uses common language for managing the organization
- Helps employees focus on critical work and demonstrate their contribution to our mission and goals
- Is an ongoing process to make sure we measure the right things and take appropriate action.
