Medical, Food, Cash and Child Care Benefits

Did you apply for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)?

Your December benefits are coming soon. If you applied and were approved between Nov. 22 and 30, 2024, you will get your benefits by December 5. The benefits will be added to your Oregon EBT card. Check your EBT card balance to make sure you got them.

How to apply

You can apply for medical, food, cash and child care benefits online, by phone or in person. Use this checklist to see what you'll need to apply.

Call the ONE Customer Service Center M-F from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific Time. You can also call a local office to apply.

  • Apply for benefits and check your application status
  • Renew your benefits

Medical coverage

Oregon Health Plan is Oregon's Medicaid program. Other medical benefits may include long-term care services and help paying Medicare costs.

Child care assistance

Employment Related Day Care helps families who are working or in school pay for child care. Some families still pay part of the child care cost.

Food benefits

The SNAP Program provides monthly benefits to help people buy food. 

Oregon Summer EBT is a grocery benefits program to help families buy food for their school-aged children when school is out for the summer.

Benefits for these programs are usually issued on an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card.

Cash benefits

TANF provides cash benefits to low-income families and new parents. Benefits are usually issued on an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card.

TA-DVS helps domestic violence survivors with temporary cash benefits if their safety is at risk.

Refugee services including cash assistance are available for refugees when they first arrive in Oregon.
