The Environmental Quality Commission adopted rules to integrate the recently established Cleaner Air Oregon program with the original Oregon Air Toxics program, adopted in 2003. The rulemaking:
Strengthens the process for setting and revising toxicity values for toxic air contaminants
Aligns DEQ’s Air Toxics Program OAR 340-246 and the recently established Cleaner Air Oregon Program OAR 340-245
Clarifies certain CAO requirements for facilities and address inefficiencies in the risk assessment process.
