Small Housing

DEQ research shows that reducing house size is the most effective way to reduce both material and energy-related impacts of residential homes. The Built Environment program staff led many efforts to increase the supply and demand for smaller housing in Oregon from 2010 – 2014. Today, the coordination of that work continues through Metro's Build Small Coalition.
