As Oregon’s housing finance agency, OHCS helps fund affordable rental housing projects. After these projects are completed, OHCS works with the property owner and manager to ensure the property stays financially stable and well-run for many years.
If you have concerns about an affordable housing property, OHCS might not always be able to fix the problem directly, but we can connect you to the right resources or help communicate with the involved parties. Learn more about how concerns are handled with an affordable rental housing.
If you are a tenant and you want to be connected to more resources beyond housing, contact the resident services staff for your building. If your building does not have resident services staff, you can call 2-1-1- or visit 2-1-1 online for information that may be helpful.
If you are a tenant and you have a concern or question about operations, like lease agreements, pest control, maintenance, communication, rules, events, building security, upgrades, or infrastructure, contact your property manager. The property manager should escalate the issue up the management chain as needed (such as through the regional property manager and management company’s chief operating officer). If the issue persists, the property manager should contact the property owner.
If the issue is related to building operations or physical needs, the property owner should contact OHCS, and they should work together until the issue is addressed.
If the issue is related to safety and security, the property owner should contact local first responders.
If you are a neighbor and you have a general concern or question about a property, contact that property’s manager.
