Community support programs

Community support programs

ReOregon’s Community Support programs are designed to empower organizations and local governments to participate actively in recovery and rebuilding efforts following the 2020 Labor Day wildfires and straight-line winds.

These programs focus on promoting long-term housing recovery and resilience in the most affected areas, ensuring disaster recovery funds are allocated effectively. Through input from local selection committees, government agencies, and housing support organizations, ReOregon tailors large-scale rebuilding and revitalization projects to meet the specific needs of each community.

Planning, Infrastructure, and Economic Revitalization Program (PIER)

PIER

The PIER program is designed to help communities recover and rebuild after the 2020 Labor Day Disasters by funding critical infrastructure projects, economic revitalization efforts, and mitigation work for future disasters. These projects restore essential services and infrastructure and strengthen the local economy for the future.

Affordable Housing Development Program (AHD)

AHD

The AHD program is focused on rebuilding and expanding affordable housing in communities affected by the wildfires and straight-line winds in 2020. By funding new housing developments, rehabilitation projects, and necessary infrastructure, the program aims to provide safe and affordable homes for low- to moderate-income families in the most impacted and distressed areas.

Why should organizations get involved?

If you represent an organization or entity such as a municipality or nonprofit, your involvement is essential to shaping recovery efforts in areas impacted by the wildfires and straight-line winds of 2020. By proposing projects that align with recovery goals, you can access funding opportunities to support rebuilding, revitalization, and long-term resilience in affected communities.

Programs like PIER and AHD provide the tools to help restore stability and strengthen resilience in Oregon’s most impacted and distressed areas. Take advantage of these opportunities to lead impactful recovery initiatives and support your community’s future.
