The Public Health Institutional Review Board (IRB) is a joint board with the OHA Public Health Division and the Multnomah County Health Department (MCHD). The Public Health IRB reviews research activities involving human subjects to ensure that the rights and well-being of persons participating in research are protected, and that the research activities are in compliance with 45 CFR 46 and Public Health Division policies.
Vision
Investigators are provided with thorough and timely review of their research proposals, and persons participating in research are assured that all research is conducted in an ethical and accountable manner.
