Evaluation and Research

evaluation

Public health evaluation and research means developing and implementing population-based, practice-based research and evaluation of policies, programs, and outcomes to assure that efficient and effective public health interventions are initiated and based on evidence.

Research helps us monitor the health status of residents to identify emerging trends, provide research databases, interpret data to inform the public, and disseminate health information about at-risk groups, communities, and the state's population. These efforts help us allocate resources, mobilize support and facilitate program management to achieve measurable health outcomes.
