The Oregon Health Authority's Center for Health Statistics (CHS) is responsible for the stewardship of vital statistic information for the State of Oregon. These vital statistics are analyzed and made available to researchers and the public through quarterly web tables and an annual report.
CHS has embarked on a project to create data maps showing key
health indicators involving birth, death, and teen pregnancy data. Since 2002, birth and death records have been geocoded to residential address. This allows for the creation of maps which displays data at sub-county-levels, such as census tract-level or ZIP code-level.
