Program Faculty

Pharmacy staff includes 15 pharmacists, three pharmacist informaticists, one PGY-1 resident, two managers and one director of pharmacy.

The pharmacists are involved with anticoagulation dosing, antibiotic stewardship, clozapine monitoring, formulary management, patient chart reviews, medication histories, diabetes and metabolic syndrome management, and medication education directly with the patients and hospital staff. They engage one-on-one and in group settings with patients and medical staff, and they assist the psychiatrists and medical physicians in therapy recommendations. They help prevent drug-drug interactions, and they monitor high-risk drugs and polypharmacy.

Cydreese Aebi

Pharmacy Residency Director / Clinical Pharmacy

Dr. Aebi is a board certified clinical psychiatric pharmacist, with more than 30 years of hospital pharmacy experience. She retains a clinical instructor faculty appointment with Oregon State University (OSU-OHSU) College of Pharmacy, an affiliate instructor appointment with Pacific University School of Pharmacy, and has worked as a clinical instructor with Western University of Health Sciences Medical School.

Dr. Aebi works with APPE students from OSU, providing a unique rotation site in the state's largest psychiatric institution. She was awarded OSU "Preceptor of the Year" in 2012-2013. She is also developing a clinical pharmacy program across the hospital’s two campuses, which is adopting a new hospital structure, electronic health record and pharmacy automation.

Dr. Albert Chira

Clinical Pharmacist

Dr. Chira is a board certified clinical psychiatric pharmacist. In 2013, he became Oregon State Hospital’s first resident. That same year, he earned his Pharm D degree from Oregon State University/Oregon Health Sciences University College of Pharmacy. He has been instrumental in developing the Clozapine Management Service at OSH.

Dr. Amber Lorenzen

Pharmacy Informaticist

​After completing her PGY1 residency at OSH during the 2014-2015 year, Dr. Lorenzen was hired as the hospital’s second pharmacy informaticist. She is a key member of the medication management team working to implement the electronic medication record, pharmacy verification system and automated dispensing cabinets. She graduated from South Dakota State University College of Pharmacy in 2014. Dr. Lorenzen became a pharmacist because of her grandmother, who was harmed due to two severe medication errors. To this day, she has a passion for proper medication use and medication safety.

Dr. SaraLee Molinari

Clinical Pharmacist

​Dr. Molinari obtained her PharmD degree in 2013 from Oregon State University/Oregon Health Sciences University College of Pharmacy. She has worked for OSH since December 2013, and since then, she’s played an active role in the advancement of clinical pharmacy services. She developed a policy and protocol for pharmacists to order and interpret labs pertaining to atypical antipsychotics and mood stabilizers. She also serves as the lead pharmacist on the OSH Antibiotic Stewardship Committee, which meets monthly to discuss trends in antibiotic usage and resistance, notable cases, and improvement plans for antimicrobial usage. Dr. Molinari helps manage and monitor clozapine patients and anticoagulation therapy.

Dr. Kaja Wagner

Clinical Pharmacist

Dr. Wagner is a board certified clinical psychiatric pharmacist. She completed her PGY-1 residency at OSH during 2016-2017 after graduating from Montana State University. She is a key member on the Clozapine Management team, Hep C Management team and the Antibiotic Stewardship Committee. She spends quality time with each resident to advance their clinical skills.
