Opportunities for OHP members to give feedback about Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) experiences
The OHPB Health Equity Committee (HEC) will have time during its next meeting on Thursday, December 12,
12:30 – 1:30 p.m., for members of the public to
share their stories of successes challenges and experiences with coordinated care organizations (CCOs). Stories shared during this opportunity will inform the Oregon Health Policy Board’s (OHBP) recommendations to Oregon Health Authority and the Governor’s office on updates to the CCO contract.
The HEC is especially interested in hearing about impacted by health inequities, including care that goes beyond medical appointments to support social and environmental development (such as information about, or access to, air conditioning or housing programs). We also welcome other testimony about any Medicaid- or equity-related concern at this meeting.
You will have three minutes to tell your story. Depending on interest, we may not be able to hear testimony from all who wish to speak. You can also share your story in writing. OHPB will host a separate event in early 2025 for CCO staff to share their experiences.

About the Health Equity Committee
The Health Equity Committee (HEC) was established by the
Oregon Health Policy Board (OHPB) in 2017.
The purpose of the Health Equity Committee is to coordinate and develop policy that proactively promotes the elimination of health disparities and the achievement of health equity for all people in Oregon. Achieving health equity is a priority for the OHPB, the Oregon Health Authority and the Governor.
In addition, the Oregon Health Authority has adopted health equity as one of its core values and committed to its strategic goal of eliminating health inequities by the year 2030.

Oregon will have established a health system that creates health equity when all people can reach their full health potential and well-being and are not disadvantaged by their race, ethnicity, language, disability, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, social class, intersections among these communities or identities, or other socially determined circumstances.
Achieving health equity requires the ongoing collaboration of all regions and sectors of the state, including tribal governments to address:
- The equitable distribution or redistribution of resources and power; and
- Recognizing, reconciling and rectifying historical and contemporary injustices.
