Courier Changes Beginning June 1, 2023

The OSPHL provides courier service for many locations that submit specimens to our laboratory. Beginning with specimens picked up June 1, 2023, OSPHL will transition courier services to DASH Delivery and STAT Courier using a new, regional courier services model. Senvoy, LLC will no longer be OSPHL’s contracted courier service. Information about the change for communicable disease testing submissions can be found in our April 25, 2023 and May 30, 2023 client letters.

Training on June 1st Courier Changes

OSPHL hosted a series of training sessions May 11-15, 2023. Clients can view a recorded training session detailing upcoming changes at their leisure. A copy of the training content slides is available here in two formats:

OSPHL Courier Handbook

OSPHL's Courier Handbook (pdf) is provided to support healthcare facilities using OSPHL's contracted courier service to send specimens to our laboratory.

The OSPHL Courier Handbook has been updated to align with all operational changes for the new courier model.
This document is intended to help these locations understand this particular courier system. These materials are not intended to provide comprehensive training about transporting laboratory specimens or general regulatory requirements for transporting laboratory specimens.

Transport Manifest

Please include a transport manifest with each shipment. A transport manifest communicates to the laboratory the specimens you intended to send so we can verify we received each specimen. For your convenience, OSPHL provides our Specimen Transport Manifest (pdf). You may use our format or a format of your choice.
