Required Collaborative Agreement for Oregon Certified Advanced Estheticians

Tuesday, March 25, 2025

The Health Licensing Office (HLO) reminds all Oregon Certified Advanced Estheticians that they must enter into a collaborative agreement with a licensed health care professional before providing any services.

Per Oregon Revised Statute (ORS) 676.655 and Oregon Administrative Rule (OAR) 819-030-0020, the purpose of this agreement is to ensure that a certified advanced esthetician has a licensed health care professional to whom they may refer clients.

The agreement must be with:

  • A physician licensed under ORS 677,
  • A nurse practitioner licensed under ORS 678.375-678.390, or
  • A licensed health care professional who works at the same time as the certified advanced esthetician and has the authority to prescribe drugs listed in Schedule III, IV, or V.

See the Collaborative Agreement FAQ document for more details.
