  1. American Backflow Prevention Association (ABPA)
    ABPA is a non-profit organization founded in 1984 to educate and offer assistance with backflow prevention and other water interests. ABPA conducts meetings, seminars, and conferences within their twelve local chapters (regions) in the U.S. and Canada. ABPA News is a bi-monthly cross connection magazine for members. Oregon is located within Region 7.

  2. American Water Works Association (AWWA)
    AWWA conducts meetings, conferences and seminars. They have several committees including Cross Connection Control and subcommittees including OCCSRS. AWWA Journal is published monthly for members. Subscriptions and past issues can be purchased by non-members.

  3. Oregon Cross Connection Specialists Regional Subcommittee (OCCSRS)
    OCCSRS is a group of Oregon Cross Connection Specialists who meet quarterly to address common problems faced when creating or administering a cross connection program. This group is a subcommittee of the PNWS-AWWA. Anyone who is interested may attend the meetings or request meeting notes. Specialist certification is not a requirement to attend. 

  4. Pacific Northwest Section - American Water Works Association (PNWS-AWWA)
    PNWS-AWWA offers their Cross Connection Control Manual, Accepted Procedure and Practice, 6th Edition, a widely accepted reference fro cross connection control. Other manuals include Summary of Backflow Incidents and Cross Connection Control Supplement, Sample Letters, Test Report Books, and Record Forms.

  5. Pacific Northwest Section - American Water Works Association, Cross Connection Control Committee
    The Committee meets quarterly to discuss cross connection control issues and sponsors training events. It represents Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. 

  6. University of Southern California - Foundation for Cross Connection Control and Hydraulic Research (USC-FCCCHR)
    University of Southern California, Foundation for Cross-Connection Control and Hydraulic Research publishes the manual of Cross Connection Control 10th Ed. USC-FCCHR also issues "Certificates of Approval" to backflow prevention devices and assemblies that meet manufacturing standards and pass their laboratory and field tests.
