Transformation Center staff support the Health Policy and Analytics Division’s community engagement work. Current work involves developing streamlined processes to support recruitment and retention of more diverse
Oregon Health Policy Board (OHPB) committee members by:
- Coordinating recruitment across OHPB committees,
- Standardizing the collection and reporting of demographic and sector data about committee members and applicants,
- Supporting retention of diverse committee members, and
- Recommending changes to authorizing statutes and charters to increase committee member diversity.
This process gives OHA and OHPB the opportunity to build rapport and trust with the community based on appointing committee members with lived and cross-cultural experience.
