Your Pain Management Team
Your Pain Management Team: The Oregon Pain Management Commission believes the majority of pain care should occur at the community level in the primary care setting utilizing the spectrum of other disciplines as indicated. The OPMC advocates for a team approach using a combination of appropriate evidence-based practices that include pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies; cognitive behavioral therapy, surgical/procedural approaches, physical therapy and occupational therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic/ osteopathic treatment, nutritional therapy and naturopathic treatments have their place in the management of acute and chronic pain, depending on the needs and responses of the patient.
