Cost Growth Target for Provider Organizations

Provider Organizations

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) identifies provider organizations that are subject to the cost growth target program based on whether they can be held accountable for total medical expenditures and if they have at least 10,000 unique attributed patients across all markets (Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial) or 5,000 patients within one market.

OHA hosted an orientation webinar for provider organizations in May 2022.

Frontline Worker Compensation Data Submission

Starting in 2024, provider entities meeting certain conditions must submit annual frontline worker compensation data to OHA. Using the latest annual Health Care Cost Trends Report, OHA identifies these organizations as those with 10,000 or more attributed lives in at least one market (commercial, Medicare Advantage, or Medicaid; see OAR 409-065-0028).

The initial 2024 files are due December 6, 2024. Annual data submissions for subsequent years will be due the first Friday in September.
