Training Registration: City of Sherwood

City of Sherwood Public Meetings Law Training

On April 29, 2025, OGEC trainers are providing in-person training on the Oregon Public Meetings Law at the City of Sherwood. Public officials from any agency are welcome to attend. Please register below to ensure that we have space for everyone.
This is 2.5 hour training is live and interactive. There will be examples and time for questions and discussion. It covers topics in ORS Chapter 192 OAR Chapter 199, including:
  1. the individual responsibilities of governing body members,
  2. how the statutes apply to holding a public meeting,
  3. a general overview of executive session provisions,
  4. and a step-by-step look at the grievance process.

Participants who stay for the entirety of the training will meet the training requirement in ORS 192.700. Certificates of completion will be emailed within a week of the training.
