Program Policies and Forms

The State 9-1-1 Program collaborates with industry partners, other state agencies, and local jurisdictions to research, develop and present a variety of documents outlining and defining the State 9-1-1 Program and its contributions to the 9-1-1 emergency communications system in Oregon. These documents include planning and coordination information and resources, standards and policies.

The State 9-1-1 Program works with national, county, and local partners to assure compliance with all national 9-1-1 standards and initiatives. The state program is committed to collaboration and communication with local, regional and national agencies to deliver 9-1-1 services in Oregon.  Below is a series of links to some of these organizations.
 
The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) - An international leader committed to providing complete public safety communications expertise, professional development, technical assistance, advocacy and outreach
 
The National Emergency Number Association (NENA) – A professional organization focused only on 9-1-1 policy, technology, operations, and education
 
9-1-1 Goes to Washington (GTW) – An interactive forum to learn about and discuss national 9-1-1 issues and advance those issues on Capitol Hill by making public safety a priority for our elected and appointed officials
 
The Oregon Chapter of APCO-NENA – An organization devoted to the advancement of Public Safety Communications in Oregon with members that span the entire state of Oregon
