Who needs this certification?
This certification is required for anyone who would like to become certified as an ODOT ADA Curb Ramp Inspector or ODOT ADA Curb Ramp Contractor.
- Inspector personnel providing inspection on construction work involving curb ramps that is performed on or along the Oregon State Highway constructed under an ODOT contract; or
- Contractor personnel who oversee the curb ramp construction using the 2024 Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction.

What does this course cover?
This course provides guidance on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as it relates to Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) facilities. The self-guided online certification training covers the use of ODOT ADA Curb Ramp Inspection Forms 734-0520 series, and the ODOT ADA Push Button Inspection Forms 734-5245 series. The curriculum includes the use of tools, inspection practice and
measurement. It also covers how to submit the forms and where to send them.

- 2-foot levels (1 Gen 2 or Gen 3 SmartTool)
- 6-inch levels (1)
- Plumb bobs (1)
- Engineering Measuring tape, tenth of foot ((1)
- Orange vests or raincoat (ANSI 3) (1)
- High visibility hat (yellow, orange, red) or hard hat (1)
- Pencils and pens, clip board
- Curb Ramp cleaning tools
- Lunch (30 minutes will be provided halfway through day)
