JOBS Program for TANF Clients

The Job Opportunity and Basic Skills program (JOBS) is for families who have TANF. This program helps with employment and training, family stability and family well-being.

How it works

Family coaches meet with families to learn about your strengths and make a plan to meet your goals. The program can help pay for things like transportation, car repairs, clothing and child care.

Some of the services include:

  • Training and work experience to help you get and keep a job
  • Support to get a high school diploma or GED
  • Help to get started in a trades or college degree program
  • Help securing a place to live
  • Support with parenting, making a budget and more
  • Help to find medical, mental health or substance use treatment services
  • English language learning
