Paid permits are required for commercial use of special forest products. Commercial use is decided by the volume and type of product you are collecting. A separate permit is required for collecting special forest products from private property and must include the approval of the property owner.
No permit is required for collecting special forest products for personal use from state forestland in the Astoria, Tillamook, Forest Grove, North Cascade, or West Oregon districts. Personal use volume may be limited at any one time however. Please refer to the posted requirements for more information or contact your local ODF office.
