Are you passionate about public engagement and interested in becoming a member of Universal Health Plan Governance Board? The board is charged with developing a comprehensive plan to finance and administer a universal health plan in Oregon. Gov. Tina Kotek and board are seeking qualified candidates to fill a public engagement position on the board.
We invite you to apply if you:
- Are in the public engagement field
- Support the development of a comprehensive plan to finance and administer a universal health plan that is responsive to the needs of the state and to the expectations of Oregon residents, as outlined in Senate Bill (SB) 1089
- Support the values and principles expressed in SB 1089
- Represent a variety of health care professional and community perspectives, including experience as enrollees in Medicare and Medicaid, or living without health insurance
This position would complete the term of a recently vacant public engagement seat through Dec. 31, 2025, and would be eligible for appointment to a second term that begins Jan. 1, 2026. Board members are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Oregon Senate. Applications are due Friday, Nov. 15, 2024.
